The theme for this year’s symposium, “Revolutionizing Healthcare Through Digital Transformation: Innovations, Challenges and Opportunities” reflects our continuous commitment to exploring new approaches for enhancing medical education, clinical services, and healthcare management through intelligent technologies in era digital transformation. In today’s fast-paced digital era, AI is no longer a choice-it is a necessity in strengthening the academic healthcare system of our nation.

This symposium not only provides opportunities for knowledge exchange and best practice sharing but also serves as a bridge for collaboration between higher education institutions, teaching hospitals, government agencies, and the industry in shaping the future direction of innovation-driven healthcare. As a Vice-Chancellor, I am proud of the collective effort poured into making this event a success. I trust the ideas exchanged, partnerships forged, and insights shared over these few days will serve as a catalyst for continuous improvement in the healthcare landscape of Malaysia.

AI is definitely an important component of SCRIPT (S=Sustainable, C=Caring and Compassionate, R=Respect, I=Innovation, P=Prosperity and T=Trust) rapidly changing the landscape of our nation, Malaysia especially healthcare. Its integration into clinical practice, hospital management, and medical education is unlocking new possibilities from predictive analytics and diagnostic precision to robotic-assisted procedures and personalized learning for medical trainees. These innovations offer us the tools to meet the evolving needs of our patients and communities with greater compassion, accuracy, and efficiency. What makes this year’s symposium especially meaningful is its expansion to the international stage.
